What To Expect
Your first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. There's no pressure — we'll talk about what you're hoping to work on, answer any questions, and begin exploring what approach might suit you best.
It's also a chance for you to see if you feel comfortable with your therapist. If it doesn't feel like the right fit, that's okay — we'll help you find someone who is.
Sessions typically last 50 minutes

Frequently asked questions
What happens in the first session?
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. There's no pressure — we'll talk about what you're hoping to work on and begin exploring the right approach together.
How long does therapy take?
This varies from person to person. Some find a focused course of 8–16 sessions enough; others benefit from longer-term support. We'll review progress together regularly and ensure you always feel in control of your journey.
Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is fundamental to therapy. Everything you share is kept strictly private, with rare exceptions such as serious risk of harm — which your therapist will always discuss with you at the outset.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes — we offer fully secure, encrypted video sessions for all our services. Online therapy is just as effective as in-person for many people, offering flexibility to access support from wherever feels comfortable.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
That's exactly what our free initial consultation is for. We'll listen to what you're going through and suggest the approach or therapist that we think would be the best fit — no prior knowledge of therapy needed.
If you need urgent support
